PLC DirectorPaul ZonaBefore moving to Oregon in 2009, Paul spent over 22 years teaching, conducting, and directing choruses and theatre in upstate New York. He received his MS in Music from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania where he focused on vocal performance. Paul’s choral conducting experiences include Sherburne Community Chorus, Broad Street United Methodist Church, and the College/Community Chorus at the State University of New York at Morrisville. As a performer, Paul sang with Syracuse Vocal Ensemble, Hamilton College Oratorio Society, Syracuse Opera and Cazenovia College/Community Chorus, and the Portland Gay Men’s Chorus. Paul did extensive theatre work with Sherburne Musical Theatre Society as a performer and music director. He received awards for music direction and performance from the Theatre Association of New York State.
PLC AccompanistKim HorensteinKim is a native of Oregon and has been playing piano since the age of six. She began accompanying choirs in high school and has been the former accompanist for the Portland Lesbian Choir, as well as Bridges Vocal Ensemble. Kim has also arranged music for both groups as well as written original music. She has been on leave from music performance for the past ten years, while parenting two sons. Kim returned to PLC this past season as the Alto section leader.
