MUSIC AND MUSICIANS
Interim PLC Director
Teri graduated from Western State College with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education and a minor in piano performance in 1983. She taught in public/private schools for the next six years while gaining a Masters degree in Guidance and Counseling from University of Denver in 1989. During the 80's and 90's Teri was involved in various community theater productions either singing, directing or piano accompaniment. In addition, Teri also accompanied and/or directed in several church choirs. Teri relocated to the Pacific Northwest in 1990 and eventually landed in Portland in 1997. Teri began as the accompanist for P.L.C. in the fall of 1997, and quickly moved into the Director role that same term. Teri directed PLC for the next six years, taking the choir to the NW Gala Conference in San Jose, CA. Around 2003, Teri retired from music and has been involving herself in home ownership, Forrest Yoga and management within the Behavioral Health field. "It's a wonderful opportunity to rejoin the choir during this term, to reconnect with old friends and create new friendships around something we all enjoy, music".
